Australian cricket team’s fast bowler Mitchell Starc has become the most expensive player in the history of Indian Premier League (IPL).
The player bidding ceremony for the IPL season 2024 was held today on December 19 in which the franchises bought the best players for their team for crores of rupees.
First in the IPL, Sunrisers Hyderabad recently bought the ICC World Cup winning captain Pat Cummins for INR 20.5 crore, after which Cummins became the most expensive player in the history of IPL.Earlier last year, the young fast bowler of the English team, Sam Curran, was bought by Punjab Kings for a record of 18.5 crore Indian rupees.
But Pat Cummins’ record was broken within minutes when Shah Rukh Khan’s IPL franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders, surprised everyone by buying Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc for a record INR 24.75 million for the 2024 edition. gaveThus, Mitchell Starc has become the most expensive player in the history of IPL.
