A passport from a Muslim country has been named the most powerful travel document in the world during the first quarter of 2024.
United Arab Emirates (UAE) topped the list of world’s most powerful passports released by Arton Capital.
UAE passport holders can travel to 180 countries without a visa.
After the UAE, Germany, Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands jointly ranked second. Citizens of these countries do not need a visa to visit 178 countries.
What is Pakistan’s number in the world’s most powerful passports for 2023?
Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Austria and Switzerland came third in the passports section, whose holders can travel to 177 countries without a visa.
Passports from Denmark, Belgium, Portugal, Poland, Ireland and South Korea allow visa-free travel to 176 countries and are joint fourth on the list.
Singapore, Greece, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Hungary, Japan and New Zealand jointly ranked 5th, whose citizens can enter 175 countries without a visa by showing their passports.
Passports with visa-free access to the fewest countries
In this list, Pakistan was declared as the 5th country with the weakest passport, which is at the 94th position overall.
Visa-free travel or visa-on-arrival facility is available in 47 countries on Pakistani passport.
Below Pakistan are Somalia (ranked 95th), Iraq (ranked 96th), Afghanistan (ranked 97th) and Syria (ranked 98th).
Compared to this, Yemen (93rd), Bangladesh (92nd), Libya and Palestine (91st), Sudan, Eritrea and Iran (ranked 90th) were declared to have more powerful passports than Pakistan.
