Former South African captain AB de Villiers has questioned the purchase of Australian bowlers Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins at the highest prices in the Indian Premier League.

During one of his interviews on social media, he expressed surprise at the huge bids for Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins in the IPL and said, “Is it really worth so much, are both players of such quality that they cost so much?” Should I buy?

The former South African captain said that Australia’s Mitchell Starc and Pete Cummins are both great players, but are they the players to buy at this price?
According to him, in this year’s auction, everything was about the need for fast bowlers, when the need increases, the price will also increase, but it has to be seen that these two fast bowlers are worth the price.

Keep in mind that in the bid of the Indian Premier League, fast bowler Mitchell Starc was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for the most expensive price of 24 crore 75 lakhs and Pat Cummins was made a part of their team by Sunrise Hyderabad for 20 crore 50 lakhs.

In an interview, de Villiers was asked if IPL franchise Mumbai Indians made a better choice than other teams, the former captain said he disagreed.

Continuing his speech, he said that Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Chennai Superkings and other teams have performed well in IPL, these teams have also done well in the auction and have not adopted any sentimentality.
