Former US President Trump’s lawyer and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani declared himself bankrupt.
The court ordered Giuliani to pay $148 million in damages for making false allegations against election workers in the state of Georgia. Giuliani also faces criminal charges in Georgia.
Giuliani claims that his assets are worth between one million and ten million dollars, while his debts are between one million and five hundred million dollars.A spokesman for Giuliani said the bankruptcy filing would allow the former mayor to appeal the $148 million in damages.
